Down by the Riverside at Sunset Time

The rich fire of the orange sunset gloriously announces the coming night.

Hi my friends,
Thanks again for all the kind compliments on my blog from yesterday!
This sunset photo (above) was made at the Banana River, at the Space Coast in Florida.
it was quiet a spectacular one, don't you think?
I wish you all a wonderful day or evening, whatever time zone you are in.

The right moment...

If your eyes are blinded with your worries, you cannot see the beauty of the sunset.

 Hi my friends,
This gorgeous sunset was captured 2 days ago out by the Lake where I'm living.
The two fisher men came just in the right moment into the picture to make the photo more interesting
in a way and to give that special ambiance of  peace.

Thanks again for all the comments yesterday.
Wish you a very good start in this new week, take it easy and enjoy life!
Susanne

My First Sunset in 2010

The sky was like on fire
(There is NO PhotoShop in any of these pictures!)

Looking out from the backyard the sky was colored in deep red clouds

My first sunset photos in 2010 - made on New Years Day

Hi my friends,

Thank you all for coming back to my blog also in 2010. I appreciate all your kind comments and they make my day - and you know that, right?...*smile*....

I'm happy also to see some new faces visiting - you are ALL very welcome to stay with me.

So far, I have nothing special to tell you today, stay tuned and I'll see you tomorrow.

Texas Sunset

These photos were made on Good Friday at sunset time, just beside our RV place were we are still today. On Saturday we had really bad thunderstorms with hail (!) going over us the whole day long and it was freezing COLD! Happily, the sun is back today and the wind is no more blowing that hard - it's almost nice again. :)

Tomorrow we will go on again our way to East, hoping the weather God will be good to us. Stay tuned and thanks for the comments!

HAPPY EASTER to you all !!!

Last strolling and maybe the last sunset too

The pier by the Southernmost House is jammed with tourists every evening. All cameras are ready for this glorious sunset event.

The sun is waiting some minutes for her appearance behind the clouds...

Here she comes...

and then she sinks like a fireball into the ocean.....

And all around me, the people are clapping their hands, happy and overwhelmed to see an other grandiose spectacle from mother nature.

After to see it for 7 years almost, it's still for me too, an exciting big show.

Magic Sunset

Joy of Color - Joy of Life

Just Beyond The Sunset

Just beyond the sunset
Someone waits for me
Just beyond the sunset
Lies my destiny
Where the purple mountains
Lie in deep tranquillity
There I’ll find the treasure
Of love eternally

Just beyond the sunset
Waits someone so fair
Just beyond the sunset
All alone they wait there
Their hair is golden
The colour of the sand
Their eyes sparkle in the night
Like diamonds in your hand

Just beyond the sunset
Lies a home for me
Where the world is peaceful
Like a paradise should be
Just beyond the sunset
Someday is where you’ll find me

Sunset Cruises

It's definitely worth the price you pay for a ticket on one of these sailboats, catamarans or schooners to watch one of the magnificent sunsets that takes place almost every evening in Key West.

Believe it or not...

And this was the sunset from yesterday Tuesday evening! What a opposite to the deep blue sky from the day before, isn't it? It's like fire in the sky. Weather is changing here so fast from one day to the other.

Yes, we have more than palm trees...

We have also the best sunsets in the world - the tourist guides are writing that, not me!

And for the most, I like the pictures after sunset when the whole sky turns into a deep red, purple or gold. It looks like fire in the sky.

Five things to do in Key West - Tour 3

Take a ride with the Conch train. It will guide you to all the landmarks of Key West and trough some of the picturesque little lanes with the pretty small conch houses.

Climb up the steps from the light house at Whitehead Street- across from the Hemingway house - to see the fantastic view over the island and to visit the museum inside.

Visit the "Secret Garden" a very nice and peacefull place to be. It's a quiet place in the middle of the island, away from every days hectic life and noise. Relax and enjoy the beauty of this tropical garden.

Have a drink or two in Sloppy Joe's Bar at Duval Street, the place where also Ernest Hemingway liked to hang out with friends.

Celebrate the sunset at Mallory Square where Performers, Magicians, Fire eater and Musicians are performing their shows every evening and where artists and craft persons are selling their work, like I do selling my photography to all the tourists. Come down there and see me.

Red Fireball

Last night's sunset in a mysterious red glow. The sun is setting down already behind Sunset Key Island and is no more that good visibel for all the tourist. "She" (the sun) will stay there up to the official date of summer begin at June 21th. After that "she" starts moving back again, out to the open water.
