A Manatee and a Sea turtle, captured in Jetty-Park, Cape Canaveral
Hi my friends,
Yesterday I have seen for the first time in my life for real a Manatee swimming in open waters. It was very impressive to see this protected animal of the sea in its natural habitat. Later on I've spotted a sea turtle peeping out from the water.
is one of the most popular recreation spots in Brevard County. Besides the 4.5 acre family beach with its designated areas for swimming and surfing (lifeguards on duty year round), one of this park's best-loved features is the 1,200 foot Malcolm E. McLouth Fishing Pier - open 24 hours, paved, lighted, equipped with fish-cleaning tables with running water and fully accessible to the physically challenged. Specially designed beach wheelchairs give access both to the beach and pier. A recently renovated and expanded building on the boardwalk houses an air-conditioned refreshment center and a bait and tackle shop.
As I have practiced it, photography produces pleasure by simplicity. I see something special and show it to the camera. A picture is produced. The moment is held until someone sees it. Then it is theirs. ~Sam Abell~
Hi my friends,
These words of Sam Abell are my words also.
That's why I love this quote so much because it is exactly what I'm looking for always in my subjects:
"Simplicity".
Thank you very much for the comments from yesterday.
Thanks for all your comments to my posting two days ago, very much appreciated.
Today is the Launch of the Space Shuttle this early afternoon. If I get some acceptable shots I'll show it to you - if not, you have to bear with my flower snaps or something else...LOL...
Have a nice day!

Zen is a school of MahāyānaBuddhism, translated from the Chinese word 禅 Chán to Japanese. This word is in turn derived from the Sanskritdhyāna, which means "meditation"
The establishment of Zen is traditionally credited to be in China, the Shaolin Temple, by the South IndianPallava prince-turned-monk Bodhidharma, who came to China to teach a "special transmission outside scriptures" which "did not stand upon words".
The emergence of Zen as a distinct school of Buddhism was first documented in China in the 7th century AD. It is thought to have developed as an amalgam of various currents in Mahāyāna Buddhist thought—among them the Yogācāra and Mādhyamaka philosophies and the Prajñāpāramitā literature—and of local traditions in China, particularly Taoism and Huáyán Buddhism.
I think I have found a new challenge for me with these ZEN quotes and the passion to match the pictures, looking for the right subjects with the quotes in my mind. It is so much truth behind these words!
I love it, it's so much fun to capture new exciting things!
Thank you for all the comments and compliments to my last sunset(s) - I'm so glad you like it.
Have a wonderful Tuesday afternoon or evening or maybe is there already Wednesday?

McClellanville, a small picturesque fishing village at the Coast of South Carolina
I love harbor scenes and my first post about McClellanville is dedicated to the shrimp boats, sitting in the harbor, just coming back from the morning catch
I love details, like here: all the ropes they need on a boat
and the colorful nets
and all the poles in and around the boats
net details
more colorful details...
View in the back of a boat
Even rust can be beautiful...
pretty colors
Last Monday we drove up to the north at the coast line of South Carolina to visit a little fishing village with the name McClellanville. Today I'm showing you some picture impressions from the dock where the shrimp boats were sitting in the small harbor.
Tomorrow I will show you more photos from a picture book perfect surrounding and the small village it self. Stay tuned....
P.S. this is my #651 post today with more than 20'400 visitors! Thank you all for stopping by almost every day and for having you as my loyal friends and for all your kind comments in all these days!
